11 months

Miles...mommy is so sorry, you turn a year old tomorrow and I am just now blogging about you being 11 months old...ANYWAYS....

You are 11 months old.  I know I say this all the time, but I can not believe how fast your are growing up.  It seems this month, you became a lil man and you are no longer momma's baby

- you play more by yourself.

-you are into EVERYTHING.  If there is a cabinet or door that can open, you are there opening and shutting it
- you still wear size 3 diapers, 3 shoes, 9-12 month shirts and 6-9 month pants.  You are still my skinny boy.

- you will eat almost anything, as long as it is not baby food. (except peaches...you really dont like them)

- you are walking along the furniture pretty good now and you are getting braver.

- you are still a biter...you have 8 teeth and are still trying to cute to more right now.

-  you had your first haircut, made it through your first cotton harvest, met santa for the first time, rode on your first train, and had your first thanksgiving.

- you still say "momma" "dada" and "yaya"---mostly it is just yaya....you LOVE yaya!!

- you ARE NOT sleeping through the night...not sure what happened, but that didnt last very long.

- you throw some mean fits! you are very dramatic (like momma) and get your feelings hurt very easily (like momma)

- have have started getting some spankings, mommy does not like doing this, but you WILL NOT LISTEN (like daddy)

- you still give the best sloppy kisses ever and i love them (except when you bite me while kissing)

- for the most part you are a sweet, silly, happy, loving baby!

you are such a blessing to us and cant believe you are about to be a year old!

Thanksgiving

I know I am WAY behind, but here it is...Miles FIRST Thanksgiving.  We have so much to be thankful for and on top of that list is Miles.  He has shown me a type of love that I did not know was possible.  I am thankful for Aaron.  He is a wonderful father and husband.  He is so good with Miles and Miles adores him. I am thankful for my family.  I have such a wonderful supportive family and I could not ask for more.  I am thankful for my friends.  It seems I dont get to see some of them as often as I would like, guess that seems to happen when you all have kids, jobs and all that grown up stuff to do.  I am thankful that I have a good job, that stresses me out but that I enjoy going to every day.  I am thankful!!!

ready for his first thanksgiving meal
the meal...yummy!

Friday after Thanksgiving Aunt T had some of her family over for Thanksgiving.  After they ate, we went over to join them on the hayride/scavenger hunt.  We had so much fun!!

after the hayride was over, everyone went back to Kris and Tara's house and grabbed a balloon.  This was the first Thanksgiving without Nana Jan, so everyone wrote her a Thanksgiving message to send to her.

then everyone got together to send her their messages

it was of the sweetest most beautiful moments i have ever witnessed.  and yes, there were many tears.  but Nana received all of her Thanksgiving messages in heaven.

Did I mention that I am thankful for my extended family?  We are so lucky that we are a part of Tara's extended family as well.  We truly miss Nana, but we know she was smiling when she received all her balloons.  In honor of Nana, I just want to say....take time to watch the sunrises and sunsets.  I am thankful for those too!!  Happy Thanksgiving!!!
