8 months

I can not believe you are 8 months already!  You have changed some much this last month! You are now like a little man instead of a baby (which makes mommy sad)

You still wear size 3 diapers
You have eaten almost all the fruits and veggies that are out there (you HATE green beans)
If we can keep you up until 9:00, you will sleep through the night.  Sometimes we just have to get up to give you your paci but you will go back to sleep.  You still wake up for a bottle about twice a week.  I can deal with that!
You have FOUR teeth...two on bottom and your two on top just started to come through.
You say "dada" and "mama" and you have said "bye-bye" once.  You only say "mama" when you are mad and throwing a fit.  I guess you are yelling at me. You are trying to waive bye-bye, but cant figure it out.
You still have a horrible temper and if things do not go your way, you will let us know.
You make the funniest noises! You still "talk" non-stop, but you have started growling now! Too cute
You clap now and LOVE pady-cake and itsy-bitsy spider.  You love anything with hand motions.
You still are not crawling, but you learned that you can get anywhere by rolling.
You have wear 6-9 month in onesies and shirts, but if you wear jeans or shorts you wear 3-6 month, which are to short, but the 6-9 month just fall right off you.
You have had a lot of first this months...first wedding, first time in your high chair, first family vacation, first time in your walker.
You love being outside.  You would stay out there all day if you could, to bad you are so pale, that we have to limit our outside time.

Swim, Swim Swim

At Tyler and Kerrie's wedding... Sorry Uncle Tyler and Aunt Kerrie...I didnt make it through the wedding
At the wedding, family pic
Eating corn on the cob from Uncle Kris's farm...yum, yum!
getting so big
first time in our high chair (I dont know why I waited so long to put him in it)
So he broke out in this HORRIBLE rash.  He looked like he had chicken pox.  He felt great during all of it, but he looked HORRIBLE!
First time at the horse races
oohhh...hummingbirds
new walker...YAY
and first time in an airplane! He might be Pop's future pilot

You are such a blessing and a challenge all the same time! You are growing so much! I can not believe that you will be a year old in 4months!

Off to the

MOUNTAINS!!!  We finally took our first family "mini" vacation.  We took at little trip to Granny's house in Ruidoso and it was so nice to get away just the three of us!

The first morning we were there, daddy when to the golf course (where he threw out is back AGAIN and then could not even pick up Miles for the rest of the trip)  Anyways, while daddy was gone, we sat out on the front porch and just played.  Miles loved being out there, to watch all the trees and birds.  It is so peaceful there
Then that afternoon, it was off to the horse races.
There was so much to look at.  He loved watching the horses come by.
AND their off!  I am pretty sure Miles had no clue what was going on.
Just watching everything going on
By the 5th race or so, it was nap time.  He would fall asleep between races, but then would wake up screaming when the fans started yelling and clapping...needless to say, we had to leave early.  That was fine with me...we had lost enough money.  We dont know much about race horses.
That night we just cooked out at the house.  When we woke up early the next morning.  I opened the blinds and look what I saw... Yelp a BEAR.
Here it comes up the driveway...so
I run inside to take a picture.  That is the front of my car the bear is walking by...then
he just went down the other side of the driveway.  He looked at us when were on the front porch, but could have cared less that we were there.
After the bear, we went downtown to go for a little walk.  We were only there about an hour and Miles was sleepy, so we went back to the house.

After a much needed nap, we went out on the front porch to watch the hummingbirds.  It has just rained, so it was so nice outside.

Watching the hummingbirds.  He was so cute. He loved to watch them, but sometimes there were just to fast.
So pretty! I love hummingbirds and watching them is one of my favorite things to do in Ruidoso.
Just playing some more

The morning we were leaving, some deer had come down from the mountain to eat.  Miles loved them! He wanted so bad to grab them.  They were so calm with him out there, they just ignored him and continued to eat their breakfast.
Time to go home.
I believe I was more tired from the vacation than I was before we left.  It was our first time to go anywhere since we had Miles, other than grandparents houses, and it was completely different than before.  I wouldnt have it any other way!
