Oh.my.sweet.baby.toddler.boy. You are now 19 months old. You are changing daily. Daddy and I are always looking at each other and thinking…”where did he learn that” “did he really just say that”. You are for sure keeping us on our toes.
You are an independent little fella. You have to do things your way and in your time and it has to be your idea.
You are pretty much repeating anything that we say (not always a good thing) You can say your colors, some of them, but you cant identify them.
You have turned into the little daredevil. You are pure boy and I am learning to let you do your thing, even if I know you are going to fall…how else are you suppose to learn???
You are sleeping better…not every night, but I will take the nights we do get. Although we have had some HORRIBLE nights in the last month.
You still wear 18 month shirts, 12 month shorts (although you sag with them) size 5 shoes (needs to be 6) and size 4 diapers.
You have an obsession with your shoes. You want to pick them out and put them on yourself.
You have an obsession with your hat. You ALWAYS have to have your hat…luckily we have not had to go to bed with it, although I think we will soon.
You still have your obsession with golf and baseball. And you are actually getting better at both. You can hit a golf ball off a tee using one of mommy’s clubs (better than mommy, not saying much) and hit the baseball of the tee.
You don’t have to have your paci as much anymore, although it is a must at nap time and night time.
You have to have daddy and only daddy put you to sleep. You refuse to let mommy hold you while you go to sleep.
You are pretty much a daddy’s boy finally now.
You have started playing with “tucks” (trucks) and “ca-cas” (tractors, don’t ask me why we call them that)
You have had your first flight with pop. You loved it. I think you might be pop’s co-pilot one day.
You still have a mean temper and throw bad fits. But with a spanking tough love, you will finally calm down.
You have loved summertime and you want to go “gass” (grass but it means outside) all the time. You just don’t understand that it is usually way to hot to go outside.
You still love Lyla, but you have finally stopped calling every animal Lyla.
You have actually started being a hugger and a kisser. We finally get hugs and kisses from you.
You go non-stop, you are silly, outgoing, demanding, loveable, temperamental, hard-head, goofy, passionate, and the sweetest little boy that I know. I love watching you grow and change and become your own person. You are more like a little boy instead of a baby…which makes mommy sad and happy at the same time.
Happy 19 months love bug! We love you bunches and bunches!
